MAISON GUERMONT, Immersive Art Total, Innovative Gesamtkunstwerk
What is Gesamtkunstwerk?
Dive into the contemporary total art home MAISON GUERMONT in Paris!
Total art of the 21th century, Pocket Trianon of luxury 2.0, Innovative and Poetic Gesamtkunstwerk, World Home… are the nicknames of the performative sculpture MAISON GUERMONT.
Art is instilled in everyday life of this artist home nestled in the cradle of Romantism in Paris between the residencies of Richard Wagner and Jean Cocteau. 100 talents of French excellency were challenged during 4 years by the artist engineer Milène Guermont to make it real.
Twice a month, this architecture sculpture opens for an IMMERSION. This immersive art experience is an artistic performance that questions intimacy thanks to innovation and ancestral know-how.

Verbatim
All these houses which spring to my mind: Carlo Mollino, Gio Ponti, Thomas Schütte and many more. But here what counts is the in-betweeness. That "in-betweenness" is you the visitor who has to fill it in.
Chris Dercon
General Manager of the Fondation Cartier pour l'art contemporain, Art Historian... 2022
Here, the reality disappears and is absorbed by Art completely. Everything is Art.
The sublime that Yves Klein sought by the immaterialization of the world, Milène Guermont achieves through the absolute opposite: the immaterial in the material omnipresence.
